Since amaryllis grow on their own time, there is no guarantee they will bloom by Christmas but they will bloom and provide color throughout the winter months into the new year.
AMARYLLIS CARE
Watering
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil is dry, and allow the container to drain. Avoid overwatering, as wet soil can cause rot and attract pests.
Light
Place the amaryllis in a warm, bright location with indirect light. After the flower buds open, move the plant out of direct sunlight.
Temperature
Keep the plant in a room that's 60–80°F. Warmer temperatures help the bulb sprout and grow faster.
Rotating
Rotate the pot every few days to keep the stems straight.
Support
Use stakes to support the flower stalks if they start to lean over. I use disposable chop sticks and twist ties!
